My Hobby

I’m not into to many things too be completely honest, but if I had to choose at least two of them I would have to go with working out and playing video games. These two activities are really what takes up majority of my time and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. First off let’s talk about the gym and working out. I always struggled with self image and my weight ever since I was about 13 years old, but just this past year and a half I’ve gotten real sick of feeling that way so I took it upon myself to take myself to the gym and better myself, losing over 45lbs in the process, and still counting! Working out just makes me feel so refreshed I can’t even explain it, lets me relieve my stress in the form of lifting heavy weights and challenging myself to go higher, cardio after a long workout is also amazing, sweat a little extra after the real hard work is over. my favorite day/part of body to exercise is definitely my legs, to me it is the most rewarding and I feel absolutely amazing after pushing myself to new limits. I always struggled trying to find myself in the gym and actually making progress, but now that I have finally figured out what works for me I love this new lifestyle and it’s definitely the top of my lists for my hobbies. Then secondly video games, which I’ve been playing basically my entire life. I’m 22 years old, and the first time I ever remember playing a video game I was about 5-6 years old playing with my dad and my brother. Video games at a time in my life was a place for me to escape, a place for me to go to when times were getting tough and I needed to escape “reality”. It was where my friends were at and where I knew everything was going to be alright. But video games are also something that I can reward myself with now after a long day of homework and studying, it’s definitely in my mind an amazing treat to give yourself after a long day of school work, and it makes it that much more enjoyable when you know you’ve finished everything you were supposed to. Even to this day I still am not interested in single player/story games. To me a video game is way more fun and enjoyable when I know I killed/effected an actual user playing the same exact game I’m playing, so much more rewarding! I know video games are a pretty boring hobby to most but to me, playing Call of Duty, Rocket League, or just any online multiplayer game is most definitely second to going to the gym and working out.
